E3a provides a cost-effective and unique way to keep an eye on your boat while you aren’t there. The “Waterway Sentinel” is a unique motion detector for the cabin on your boat. It is about the size of your hand and can be mounted anywhere in your cabin with Velcro tape. Waterway Sentinel from a standard motion detector is it uses a sim card to communicate with you. So instead of having to purchase a security system with a monitoring service, and monthly fees, this device will alert you of intrusion via text, then call you and e-mail you a photograph upon intrusion. The device also runs on its own AA batteries, so there’s no reliance upon boat or shore power. And with the ability to snap infrared photos, it works day and night.
The first device of its kind: is a unique PIR (passive infrared sensor) motion detector with a built-in snap shot VGA photo camera!
HOW DOES IT WORK? When the Waterway Sentinel (Photo E3a) detects movement within the protected zone, it snaps up to two photos of the zone penetrated by the intruder and sends it to your email. The built-in GSM module (Global System for Mobile Communications, originally Groupe Spécial Mobile) sends the alarm to any mobile phone of your choice, sends text alarms to six phone numbers of your choice and triggers the loud wireless siren "PRISMA-S" (sold and purchased separately).A new highly sensitive matrix circuit allows for the device to snap photographs in the dark.
